SimuPort

SimuPort is an online platform, developed and operated by Flowphys on its own infrastructure, on which multi-physics simulators can be run in a browser. Public simulators need no installation and no licence request.

SimuPort provides infrastructure for dissemination, demonstration, validation, training, stakeholder engagement and long-term uptake. It can also support exploitation where the project's ownership, licensing and access conditions allow.

Three access levels

Flowphys can turn approved, publishable project results into public simulators, and can provide controlled or private environments where open publication is not appropriate.

Open access to run a simulator is not the same as open data, and neither is the same as open-source software. Free browser access to a simulator does not imply that the code, models or datasets are open. Keep these three distinct in all copy.

SimuPort is funded by the projects that use it. Building a simulator for a consortium is project work and can be budgeted as such. Simulators stay open after the grant closes, on infrastructure we own and operate.

SimuPort is free. No licence request, no account tiers, no charge for running a public simulator.1 Footnote 1
