Project

CO integration of Microelectronics and Photonics for Air and water Sensors
Horizon Europe · COMPAS
Project introduction
COMPAS develops a compact photonic integrated circuit sensing platform for air and water monitoring, co-integrating light source, detectors and electronic signal processing on chip. Sensing is based on interference between guided light modes, enabling multi-analyte detection in a compact device.
Flowphys contribution
FEM simulation of photonics and electromagnetics in waveguides and metasurfaces; parametric and topology optimisation of photonic sensors; two-phase microfluidics; electro-wetting-on-dielectric; packaging cooling and thermo-mechanical analysis.
